Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Consultant
We are seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Consultant to join our team on a project-based contract. This role focuses on driving process improvements, operational excellence, and measurable results in diverse manufacturing and operational environments. The ideal candidate is a proven problem-solver with a strong consulting background, deep expertise in lean methodologies and Six Sigma, and exceptional project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Analysis & Improvement: Conduct in-depth assessments of current processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lean Implementation: Develop and lead the implementation of lean methodologies
- Six Sigma Methodology: Apply Six Sigma tools (DMAIC) to enhance process quality and achieve measurable performance improvements.
- Project Management: Oversee improvement projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and objectives are met while maintaining alignment with business goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand challenges, gain buy-in, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Utilize data analytics to measure performance metrics, evaluate results, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Training & Mentoring: Equip client team members with knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to sustain long-term improvements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification required; PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience:
- 5 years in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement roles.
- 4-5 years of consulting experience is preferred, with a proven track record of delivering measurable results in client-facing roles.
- Critical Consulting Skills:
- Client Management: Ability to build trust, manage expectations, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Problem-Solving Expertise: Exceptional analytical skills to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
- Change Management: Adept at guiding organizations through transitions and fostering adoption of new processes and tools.
- Communication & Facilitation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work in dynamic environments and tailor approaches to diverse industries and client needs.
